Costume Design, Historical Fashion

ABOUT ME
I'm a motivated and detail-oriented costume professional with specialized experience in historical costume construction, theatrical garment production, and costume shop management. I'm captivated by the clothing of the past—fascinated by how garments can tell rich, nuanced stories across time. Today, I bring that passion into every aspect of my work, whether I’m on a museum floor, in a costume shop, or researching for my next project.

I strive to bring a collaborative, solution-focused mindset to every production, supported by hands-on experience in applied learning, leadership, and mentorship in both academic and professional settings. My work spans collegiate theatres, historical museums, and experimental stages, where I’ve led fittings, drafted and draped patterns, constructed and altered garments, and overseen costume stock organization. I thrive in dynamic, interdisciplinary environments and love working alongside designers, performers, and technicians to bring stories to life through thoughtful, well-crafted clothing.
I'm deeply committed to sustainable garment practices, body-positive allyship, and accessible, educational mentorship in costume construction. Whether I’m recreating historical garments using traditional techniques or leading student workers through a fitting, my goal is to make the costume world more inclusive, practical, and story-rich.

Outside of the shop, you can usually find me curled up with a book, dreaming up the next sewing project at one of my vintage machines, hunting for treasures at a thrift store, or enjoying quiet time with my husband and our cats. If you're passionate about historical dress, sustainability, or collaborative storytelling through costume—let’s connect!
